In a bold move to strengthen its innovation ecosystem and global outreach, Fujian Province has officially launched the 2025 Global Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition. The initiative is designed to attract top-tier talent from around the world while encouraging cutting-edge startups and research partnerships that can fuel regional development.
The competition, unveiled at a high-profile ceremony in Fuzhou, is part of China’s broader strategy to build innovation hubs outside of its major tech centers. It offers financial incentives, incubator access, and business development support for projects in key sectors including AI, green technology, biotech, and smart manufacturing.
“This competition isn’t just about technology it’s about creating a platform for global minds to come together and solve real-world problems,” said a representative from Fujian’s Science and Technology Department. “We want to turn Fujian into a global innovation magnet.”
