The Gaza Strip is facing its deadliest wave of airstrikes this year, with over 87 Palestinians killed in just 24 hours as Israel ramps up military operations in response to recent rocket fire from militant groups.
Emergency crews are overwhelmed, hospitals are over capacity, and neighborhoods once bustling with life now lie in ruins. Among the dead are children, medical workers, and journalists, according to local sources. International aid groups are warning of a catastrophic humanitarian breakdown if attacks persist.
Israel’s Defense Forces said the strikes targeted Hamas weapons storage and leadership compounds, describing the operation as “surgical and essential.” But Palestinian civilians caught in the crossfire tell a different story.
