APC Governors Endorse President Tinubu for 2027 Presidential Ticket

 

In a major political development, all 22 governors elected under the All Progressives Congress (APC) have unanimously endorsed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as the party’s sole candidate for the 2027 presidential election.

The endorsement, which took place during a closed-door meeting at the Presidential Villa in Abuja, marks the clearest sign yet that the ruling party intends to consolidate its leadership behind Tinubu, four years ahead of the next general election.

Sources at the meeting confirmed that the governors, led by Chairman of the Progressive Governors’ Forum and Imo State Governor Hope Uzodimma, described Tinubu as the “visionary leader Nigeria needs to stay on course with the reforms already underway.”

“President Tinubu has shown uncommon courage in economic recovery, infrastructure development, and security stabilization. We believe he remains the best candidate to carry the APC and Nigeria forward,” Uzodimma reportedly said.
