A fiery storm of backlash has erupted after a bold African priest unleashed a brutal verbal assault on Seyi Tinubu, son of Nigeria’s President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, in a now-viral video that’s lighting up social media.
The visibly enraged priest didn’t hold back, sending a clear, cutting message to the younger Tinubu:
“Stop threatening Nigerians! We never voted for you. You’re just a spoilt son, not our president!”
The video, which has spread like wildfire online, comes amid rising tension over Seyi Tinubu’s increasing presence and perceived influence in political matters despite holding no elected office.
Citizens are now echoing the priest’s frustration, slamming Seyi for allegedly acting like Nigeria is part of his family inheritance.
“You’re riding on your father’s name, but this country doesn’t belong to you,” one angry commenter posted. “We didn’t vote for Tinubu & Son Plc this is a democracy, not a royal palace.”

The priest’s outburst has struck a nerve nationwide, as hashtags like #SeyiTinubuOut and #WeDidNotVoteForYou trend across Twitter and Facebook.
Political observers warn that Seyi Tinubu’s unchecked public behavior may only deepen public resentment against the presidency. As one analyst put it: “The people are tired. And now, even the clergy are speaking out. That says a lot.”
