Authorities Search Epstein’s New Mexico Ranch After Disturbing Allegations Surface

Authorities Search Epstein’s New Mexico Ranch After Disturbing Allegations Surface

Authorities in New Mexico have launched a new investigation into a remote property once owned by Jeffrey Epstein, following disturbing allegations contained in recently released files.

State investigators began searching Zorro Ranch, a sprawling estate about 30 miles south of Santa Fe, after documents linked to Epstein raised new questions about what may have happened on the property.

Why Authorities Are Searching the Ranch

The renewed investigation comes after the release of millions of previously sealed documents connected to Epstein’s criminal cases.

Among those files was an allegation from a former employee claiming that two foreign girls were killed and buried somewhere near the ranch. Investigators have not confirmed the claim, but officials say it was serious enough to warrant a new search of the area.

According to officials, the search is being led by the New Mexico Department of Justice, with assistance from state police and local sheriff’s deputies. Authorities have asked the public to stay away from the area while the investigation continues.

A Case That Was Previously Closed

This is not the first time the ranch has been linked to criminal investigations.

In 2019, New Mexico officials began examining allegations related to the property but stopped their probe after federal prosecutors in New York City requested that the state halt its investigation.

Now, with new documents coming to light, the state has reopened the case to determine whether crimes occurred at the ranch and whether evidence still remains.

Survivors Have Spoken About the Ranch

Several Epstein survivors have previously alleged they were trafficked and abused at the property.

The ranch, which Epstein purchased in 1993, became one of several locations linked to his international sex-trafficking network.

Although Epstein faced federal charges for trafficking minors, he was never charged with crimes specifically connected to the New Mexico property before his death in 2019 while awaiting trial.

New Commission Created to Investigate

In response to the controversy, lawmakers in New Mexico have created a bipartisan “truth commission” to examine whether crimes occurred at the ranch and whether public officials failed to act on earlier warnings.

The commission will review testimony from survivors, investigate possible corruption, and attempt to uncover the full history of what happened at the ranch.

What Happens Next

Investigators say the search could take time, especially since many of the alleged events happened years ago.

Still, officials say the goal is clear: to determine whether evidence exists that could bring justice to victims and finally answer long-standing questions surrounding Epstein’s activities in New Mexico.

For now, the investigation continues as authorities examine one of the most controversial properties linked to one of the most infamous criminal cases in recent American history.
