In a fiery statement that has stirred political circles, ex-militant leader and Niger Delta activist Asari Dokubo has lambasted Labour Party’s presidential candidate Peter Obi, describing him as “nothing but a noise maker creating chaos in Nigeria and on the internet.”
Dokubo, who has never hidden his disdain for Obi’s political rhetoric, accused him of continuously using online platforms to attack the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
“Obi should stop hating on someone who is clearly above him. Tinubu is the president, and he should be allowed to do his time. When it is your time, we will see what you have to offer,” Dokubo said during a Facebook live session monitored by our reporter.

The Niger Delta figure warned Obi that the path he is taking might lead him to a destination he never expected. “Don’t think the internet gives you power. You’re powerless. And if you continue this way, you might end up in a place you never imagined.”
This isn’t the first time Dokubo has openly clashed with Obi’s camp, but his latest outburst appears to have struck a chord with many of Tinubu’s staunch supporters, who feel the Labour Party leader has yet to accept the outcome of the 2023 elections.
