The Lagos State Government has revealed plans to deliver over 14,000 new housing units before the end of 2025, as part of a renewed push to address the city’s housing deficit.
Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu made the announcement at the opening of a new estate in the Ibeju-Lekki area, stating that strategic partnerships with private developers would drive the ambitious target.
The new housing projects will include both low-income and mid-income accommodations across Ikorodu, Alimosho, and Eti-Osa LGAs.
Sanwo-Olu emphasized that the initiative aims to boost accessibility, reduce homelessness, and stimulate the construction industry.
