Northern Nigeria is about to get a major boost in connectivity as Minna Airport prepares to welcome its first commercial flights starting today.

Overland Airways will begin operating routes to Lagos and Abuja three times a week, offering more travel options for residents and businesses in the region. Local authorities say the launch could help drive tourism, trade, and investment into the heart of Niger State.
“This is more than just flights,” said one airport official. “It’s about opening doors and building bridges between our region and the rest of the country.”

Many travelers in the area have long depended on road transport or had to travel to distant airports. With this launch, Minna is finally stepping into the spotlight.
