So what needs to happen now?
1. Local Pricing for Local Production
If fuel is produced in Nigeria, then it should be priced for Nigerians. Not using international price models. We can’t be refining fuel in Lagos and buying it like we’re importing it from Dubai.

2. Government and Private Sector Collaboration
Dangote can’t fix this alone, and government cannot sit back. There needs to be a clear pricing policy that protects citizens and forces transparency.
3. End Generator Dependency

We need true investment in 24/7 electricity. Solar, hydro, gas Nigeria has it all. But until power becomes stable, people will keep buying fuel daily just to survive.
4. Speak Up, Show Up

Leaders political or business must step out of their air conditioned offices and walk with the people. Join the march. Feel the pain. That’s the only way to rebuild trust.
5. Make the Refinery Work for Us, Not Just Headlines

This refinery is the biggest in Africa but if it doesn’t change daily life, then it’s just another photo op. Nigerians need cheaper fuel, not fancy ribbon cuttings.
