A self-proclaimed crypto millionaire is licking his wounds after losing a $20,000 bet all because he underestimated YouTube firecracker IShowSpeed.
The bizarre wager unfolded when Speed challenged fellow influencer Ashton Hall to a 100-meter footrace during a surprise livestream. What was meant to be a fun sprint quickly turned into a high-stakes showdown with fans and even some reckless gamblers placing real bets on the outcome.
One of those gamblers, known online as @ETHdripKing, staked $20,000 in Ethereum on Ashton Hall to win.

Big mistake.
Speed not only won the race, but did it in signature Speed fashion: barking, screaming, and diving across the finish line like he was qualifying for the Olympics.
“I swear Ashton looked faster on Instagram,” @ETHdripKing posted afterward. “IShowSpeed was built different. I’m down 20K, and it was worth every penny.”
Clips of Speed’s wild celebration and Ashton’s hilarious defeat have now gone viral, with the hashtag #SpeedScammedMe trending across X (formerly Twitter), TikTok, and YouTube Shorts.
Fans are already demanding a rematch, while others are just trying to figure out why anyone would bet against IShowSpeed in a race.
