In his latest Netflix stand-up special, legendary comedian Dave Chappelle took a direct shot at former President Donald Trump, roasting his chaotic leadership style and obsession with power in a way only Chappelle could deliver.
“This man ain’t running a country, he’s running a pressure cooker!” Chappelle said, drawing thunderous laughter from the crowd. “Donald Trump out here thinking he’s the President of Pressure, not the United States. Every day he wakes up like, ‘Who can I stress out today?’”
The 90-minute special, titled “The Red Hat Chronicles,” dives deep into America’s political absurdities, with Trump getting a front-row seat in Chappelle’s verbal roasting. With his trademark sharp wit and no-filter delivery, Chappelle accused Trump of turning politics into a performance and the U.S. government into a “chaotic sitcom written by a billionaire with Wi-Fi and bad intentions.”
“You ever seen a man talk about billion-dollar deals like he’s selling mixtapes outside Walmart?” Chappelle joked. “Trump be like, ‘I made the best deal in American history… trust me. It’s huge. No, I can’t show it to you. It’s top secret and also somehow under audit.’”
Chappelle’s special also lampooned Trump’s social media comebacks, rally speeches, and infamous insults calling him the “only man who fights harder with CNN than with climate change.”
The set had moments of seriousness too, as Chappelle warned about the dangers of politics becoming entertainment.
“At some point, we have to stop treating this like a reality show. It’s not The Apprentice. It’s real life. And if we let it become a joke, the punchline might just be America.”
As expected, Trump supporters online weren’t laughing. Several conservative commentators called the special “disrespectful,” but fans of Chappelle hailed it as “genius truth wrapped in comedy.”

Social media exploded with quotes and memes from the set, and within hours, the phrase “President of Pressure” began trending on X (formerly Twitter).
