In the aftermath of four deadly attacks across communities in Benue State, survivors are beginning to share harrowing details of the assaults that left at least 23 people dead.
According to residents of Mbaikyor village, the attackers arrived in the dead of night, wielding AK-47s and machetes. “We heard only footsteps and screaming,” said one farmer who hid in nearby bushland. “When we returned, the entire street was in blood.”

Security agencies have not made any arrests as of press time, prompting renewed calls from community leaders for federal intervention. “We are tired of burying our own,” one elder told Dobblog. “Benue has become a battlefield.”
