U.S. rapper Kid Cudi has come forward with disturbing claims that his home was broken into and his car set ablaze during a period of rising tensions allegedly connected to music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs.
In a statement released Thursday, Kid Cudi, whose real name is Scott Mescudi, detailed a traumatic incident involving property destruction at his residence. According to Cudi, the attack was not random, but part of a disturbing pattern of harassment reportedly sparked by Combs’s anger over Cudi’s past relationship with Casandra Ventura, popularly known as Cassie, who was once romantically linked to Combs.
“Someone entered my property and set my car on fire. It wasn’t just vandalism. It felt like a message,” Cudi told sources close to the matter. While the rapper did not explicitly name Diddy in his remarks, legal documents and testimonies from the ongoing investigations into Sean Combs’ activities have reportedly drawn connections between the mogul’s anger and Cudi’s relationship with Cassie.
The alleged incident comes amid mounting legal troubles for Combs, who is facing a string of lawsuits and federal scrutiny over past behavior. The disturbing claims from Cudi now add another layer of controversy to the already escalating crisis surrounding the Bad Boy Records founder.

Authorities are said to be reviewing surveillance footage and forensic evidence related to the break-in and arson, but no arrests have been made at the time of filing this report.
Cudi, known for his influence on modern hip-hop and mental health advocacy, says he’s shaken but remains committed to speaking out: “This isn’t just about me. It’s about power, intimidation, and silence. And I won’t be silent.”
