Peter Obi Demands Action: ‘Terrorist Allies Are in Power - And Must Be Exposed’

Former presidential candidate and Labour Party leader, Peter Obi, has delivered a searing statement in response to recent comments made by Borno State Governor Babagana Zulum, who warned that terrorist informants and collaborators are operating within Nigeria’s political class and armed forces.

In a powerful declaration shared via his official channels, Obi described Zulum’s claim as more than just disturbing he called it “a devastating indictment of the state of our nation.”

“If true, it confirms what many Nigerians have long feared: that our country is bleeding not only from external attacks but from betrayal at the highest levels,” Obi said.

The former Anambra State governor stressed that Nigeria cannot win the war against terrorism while traitors remain embedded in the corridors of power, feeding off the blood of innocent citizens.

“Anyone who aids, abets, protects, or collaborates with terrorists, no matter their rank, title, or political office, is a traitor to the Federal Republic of Nigeria,” he declared.

Obi called for immediate investigation, public exposure, and prosecution of all those found guilty of working with insurgents. He emphasized that the federal government must not respond with silence or indifference but with firm action and urgency.

“The silence and inaction that often greet such explosive disclosures only serve to embolden the enemies within,” he warned. “This is not just a security failure. It is a moral collapse.”

Praising Governor Zulum for his courage, Obi said the governor had done what few leaders dare to do speak the truth boldly and without political cover.

“That truth must not die in the news cycle. It must be pursued, investigated, and confronted with courage and justice,” he urged.

As insecurity continues to haunt various regions of the country, Obi’s message has struck a chord with many Nigerians who are demanding accountability, transparency, and stronger leadership in the battle against terrorism.

With national attention now focused on these explosive revelations, pressure is mounting on the federal government and security agencies to act decisively and restore the faith of Nigerians in the institutions meant to protect them.
