As summer nears, Americans are bracing for another challenge: an above-average hurricane season. According to a forecast released by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), the 2025 Atlantic hurricane season could bring stronger and more frequent storms than in previous years.
“Warm ocean temperatures and climate conditions are pointing to a very active season,” said NOAA spokesperson Dr. Laura Benson. “Families in coastal areas should prepare immediately.”
Emergency services across Florida, Louisiana, and the Carolinas have already begun mobilizing resources and warning residents to review evacuation plans.
