A quiet neighborhood in Springfield, Missouri is reeling after a teenage boy allegedly stabbed his 15-year-old sister during an argument over access to her TikTok account.
According to police, the 17-year-old suspect became enraged after being denied the password, leading to a tragic altercation that left the girl dead and the boy in custody.
Neighbors say the family appeared “normal” and close-knit. “It was always the three of them walking their dog,” one woman said. “You’d never think something like this could happen over an app.”
The case is sparking renewed debate about teen mental health and social media addiction.
