In one of the most controversial political statements of the year, Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene has sparked outrage and alarm by suggesting that Donald Trump’s life could be in danger if he turns his back on Israel drawing a direct comparison to the assassination of President John F. Kennedy.
Greene referenced long-standing conspiracy theories about JFK’s opposition to Israel’s nuclear program in the 1960s. She wrote:
“There was once a great president the people loved. He opposed Israel’s nuclear program. Then he was assassinated. Should I be worried for my life now? What about President Trump?”
The comment came just hours after Trump sharply criticized Israel’s military actions toward Iran, breaking from his usual pro-Israel stance. While Trump has long claimed to be a defender of Israel, his recent rebuke of its aggressive actions has rattled his supporters and now, Greene’s words are adding fuel to an already volatile debate.

Fear or Fear-Mongering?
Greene’s critics say she is dangerously fueling conspiracies. But her supporters claim she’s simply “saying what others are too scared to.”
“She’s not wrong,” one Trump loyalist commented. “They took out JFK when he questioned Israel. Why wouldn’t they try it again?”
Mainstream historians, however, have repeatedly debunked claims that Israel was behind JFK’s death but that hasn’t stopped the theory from spreading rapidly across social media.
Meanwhile, concerns about Trump’s safety are very real. Iranian officials have recently made threats against the president following the killing of General Soleimani. But Greene’s warning paints a new picture one where Israel, not Iran, could be the silent threat.
