“We’re Going from Grace to Grass’: One Veteran’s Powerful Message for America”

At a Veterans for Peace gathering this month, Marine veteran Marcus Greene stepped up to the microphone with tears in his eyes.

“This country used to walk with grace,” he said. “Now we’re crawling through the grass fighting each other, forgetting the poor, and mocking the truth.”

Marcus, who served in both Iraq and Afghanistan, spoke of coming home to a country he barely recognizes.

“I didn’t risk my life for a nation that mocks science, demonizes the poor, and treats neighbors like enemies.”

His words, caught on video, ignited social media. Veterans, teachers, nurses even pastors shared the clip with the hashtag #GraceToGrass.

“I love this country,” he finished. “But loving something means telling it the truth.”
