America once stood as a symbol of freedom now it’s becoming the kind of nation it used to condemn.
International headlines are growing more critical of the U.S. amid domestic military deployments, immigration crackdowns, and human rights controversies. In France, newspapers called the U.S. “a democracy under siege.” In South Africa, activists held signs reading, “Free the American People.”
Foreign policy expert Daniel Kofi says:
“The irony is tragic. The U.S. used to fund pro-democracy movements abroad. Now it needs one at home.”
With world leaders raising concerns and American allies distancing themselves, it’s clear: the global view of the United States is shifting fast.
