Major City May Ban All Gas Cars by 2027, And Republicans Are Calling It a War on the Working Class

Los Angeles is pushing the climate conversation to the extreme and it’s sparking a political wildfire. 

City officials are drafting a proposal that would ban all gas powered cars by 2027. Supporters call it bold and necessary. But conservative leaders are calling it class warfare, arguing that working families can’t afford expensive electric cars or infrastructure upgrades. 

“You’re telling a single mom who drives a 2008 Honda that she’s breaking the law in two years?” one critic said. This isn’t just about cars it’s about who gets left behind in the so called green revolution.
