After years of silence and cold war tension, Damon “Dame” Dash has finally unleashed a scathing attack on former business partner Jay-Z, shattering any hopes of reconciliation and reigniting one of hip-hop’s deepest feuds.
In a no-holds-barred podcast interview with NO JUMPER, Dame went off:
“Stop acting like you’re some untouchable god. You’re just another man. A man who sold out. A man who turned his back on his people. And yeah a piece of sh*t in my book.”
The fiery remarks come just days after Jay-Z was praised at a Wall Street gala for “bridging hip-hop and high finance,” with billionaires applauding him as a “cultural icon turned mogul.”
Dame Dash wasn’t impressed.
“They love him because he stopped fighting the system and started feeding it. He made deals that made him rich and kept everyone else broke. Don’t confuse that with leadership.”
Social media exploded within hours of the clip going live. The hashtag #DameSnaps began trending on X, with fans split down the middle some backing Jay’s success, others agreeing with Dame’s claim that the rap legend is now “part of the problem.”
It’s the first time in years Dame has openly spoken Jay-Z’s name and clearly, the wounds haven’t healed.
The war between the former Roc-A-Fella founders may have been quiet in public, but insiders say the tension has never died and now, it’s boiling over.
Jay-Z has yet to respond. But the streets are listening.
