In a statement that’s already sending shockwaves across the globe, former U.N. Special Rapporteur Richard Falk spoke out in a bold, unfiltered interview, saying what many in the Arab world have whispered for years.
“No Middle Eastern country has ever attacked another the way Israel has. The region wasn’t at war with itself until Israel brought the war to them.”
The longtime human rights advocate, who has spent decades monitoring the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, pulled no punches. He described Israel’s policies as “state-driven violence” and said the occupation of Palestine has become “a permanent war machine disguised as security.”
Falk went further, calling out the hypocrisy of Western nations:
“They call for peace but fund the bombs. They condemn Hamas but ignore the homes Israel flattens, the children it buries.”
The statement comes as Israel faces global criticism for repeated military actions in Gaza, Syria, and southern Lebanon. Civilian death tolls are rising. Families are being displaced again and again. And many are asking: If peace is the goal, why does the violence never stop?
Falk’s voice is not just a critique it’s a warning.
“The Middle East could have been stable. Could have built together. But the constant aggression from one actor Israel has poisoned that hope.”
