“Trump to Iran: You Will Never Get a Nuclear Weapon”

Riyadh, U.S. President Donald J. Trump delivered a stern warning to Iran,

In a powerful address at an international investment summit in RiyadhU.S. President Donald J. Trump delivered a stern warning to Iran, vowing that the Islamic Republic will “never have a chance” to develop nuclear weapons under his watch.

Speaking before a high-profile audience that included business leaders, diplomats, and Middle Eastern heads of state, Trump labeled Iran “the most destructive force” in the region and accused it of sponsoring instability across multiple countries. The president’s remarks signaled a strong U.S. stance against Tehran’s nuclear ambitions while also hinting at the possibility of renewed diplomatic engagement.

“Iran must make a choice,” Trump declared. “Continue on a path of chaos and terror or join the civilized world in the pursuit of peace. But make no mistake: they will never have a nuclear weapon. Not now, not ever.”

The statement was met with applause from regional allies, including Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, who has long supported U.S. efforts to curb Iran’s influence in the Middle East.

Trump’s warning was paired with an olive branch. He expressed openness to negotiating a new agreement with Iran if its leadership demonstrates a genuine commitment to peace. However, he cautioned that the window for diplomacy “will not stay open forever.”

The president also used the summit to announce a record breaking $142 billion arms and technology deal with Saudi Arabia and to lift U.S. sanctions on Syria, citing signs of reform and encouragement from Turkish and Gulf leaders.

“We are not here to inflame conflict,” Trump added. “We are here to foster transformation. The future of the Middle East must be built on trade, investment, and peace not war.”

Trump’s remarks in Riyadh mark a key moment in his renewed foreign policy agenda, which emphasizes economic diplomacy, strategic alliances, and a hard line on nuclear proliferation.

As tensions continue to simmer across the Gulf, all eyes will be on how Iran responds to the U.S. ultimatum and whether Trump’s firm tone will lead to confrontation or compromise.
