Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has issued his most severe warning yet to Russian President Vladimir Putin, declaring that Russia faces inevitable collapse if the Kremlin refuses to halt its ongoing war against Ukraine and escalations across Europe.
In a tense and emotional address to the Ukrainian Parliament on Tuesday, Zelensky said the war has passed the point of reason and has now become a “suicidal mission” for Russia’s future.
“This is not only the destruction of Ukraine. If Vladimir Putin continues on this path, it will be the end of Russia itself,” Zelensky declared. “A nation cannot survive in isolation, under sanctions, against the will of the world.”

Zelensky’s statement follows growing reports of internal dissent within Russia and a fresh wave of international sanctions that have crippled key sectors of the Russian economy from oil exports to banking and military supply chains.
The Ukrainian leader cited the massive casualties, collapsing ruble, and diplomatic isolation facing Moscow as evidence that the war is backfiring on the Russian regime.
“You cannot bomb your way into history,” he added. “What Putin is doing will not make Russia great it will bury it.”

International reactions were swift. European Union leaders applauded Zelensky’s stance, calling it a “truth that needs to be heard in Moscow.” In Washington, White House Press Secretary Karen Watson said Zelensky was “expressing what millions around the world feel but haven’t said aloud.”
The war, now in its third year, has seen waves of Ukrainian counteroffensives reclaiming occupied territories, as well as bold sabotage missions against Russian fuel depots and weapons facilities. Meanwhile, Russia continues to launch drone and missile attacks on civilian targets across Ukraine, escalating humanitarian concerns.
Despite growing losses, President Putin has shown no sign of retreat instead vowing to “defend Russian lands at any cost,” even as military analysts suggest the Kremlin’s manpower and resources are nearing exhaustion.

“He is sacrificing an entire generation of Russians for nothing but pride,” said Lt. Gen. Mark Hollis, a retired NATO commander. “Zelensky is right Russia is bleeding out, slowly and painfully.”
With international pressure mounting and Russia’s future hanging in the balance, Zelensky concluded his remarks with a final plea:
“Stop this madness, Putin. Not for us but for your own people. Before it is too late.”
