Jake Tapper Claims Biden Health Scandal Cover-Up Is ‘Worse Than Watergate’

In a bombshell statement that has sent shockwaves through the political and media landscape, CNN anchor Jake Tapper has accused the Biden administration of orchestrating a massive cover-up regarding the President’s health calling it “worse than Watergate.”

The remarks came during a fiery segment on CNN’s State of the Union, where Tapper referenced newly leaked White House medical memos suggesting that President Joe Biden may have experienced multiple undisclosed health episodes in recent months, including one allegedly involving a brief loss of cognitive function during a closed-door economic briefing in March.

“What we’re looking at is not just political negligence,” Tapper said on air. “This is a coordinated effort by top officials to hide the President’s true condition from the American people. If these reports are accurate, it’s worse than Watergate.”

The documents, leaked to several newsrooms over the weekend, reportedly show internal communications between White House physician Dr. Kevin O’Connor and senior aides, discussing concerns about the President’s “increasing confusion, memory gaps, and physical fatigue.” One memo, dated April 11, allegedly warns that the President should “avoid long-form interviews or unscripted events for the foreseeable future.”

White House officials have dismissed the reports as “selective leaks, taken out of context,” and insisted that President Biden remains “fit for duty.” In a statement Monday morning, Press Secretary Dana Whitman said, “There is no medical crisis. The President undergoes regular evaluations and is in strong physical and mental health for his age.”

However, Tapper doubled down on his criticism, accusing the administration of “insulting the intelligence of the American public.”

“This is not a partisan issue,” Tapper continued. “This is about transparency. The public has a right to know the true state of the man leading the free world.”

The scandal is already having political consequences. Several Republican lawmakers are demanding a formal investigation and calling for the release of all of Biden’s recent medical evaluations. Senator Josh Hawley (R-MO) tweeted, “If the President is unwell, the nation deserves answers not spin and secrecy.”

Meanwhile, some Democrats are reportedly in panic mode behind closed doors, fearing the controversy could derail their strategy heading into the 2026 midterm elections. An anonymous Democratic strategist told Dobblog, “The timing couldn’t be worse. This could open the door wide for Trump or any strong Republican challenger.”

As calls grow louder for clarity and accountability, President Biden is expected to appear at a scheduled press briefing later this week. Whether he addresses the health allegations directly remains to be seen.
