The Department of State Services (DSS) is facing serious allegations after reportedly moving to prosecute National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) President, Atiku Isah, on charges of illegal possession of a firearm. The development comes shortly after Isah publicly accused Seyi Tinubu, son of President Bola Tinubu, of assault and bribery.
Sources close to the matter claim the DSS orchestrated the circumstances leading to the firearm charge, allegedly staging a photograph of Isah with a pistol that had been planted by his abductors.

The timing of the charge has raised widespread suspicion among activists and civil society groups, who see it as an attempt to silence the student leader following his outspoken stance against powerful political figures.

Neither the DSS nor the presidency has officially responded to the allegations. However, the situation continues to spark outrage on social media, with many Nigerians calling for transparency, justice, and the protection of democratic voices.
