In a remarkable success story, 78 Nigerian girls who were trafficked to Côte d’Ivoire have been safely repatriated back to Nigeria. The operation was facilitated by the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP), marking a significant milestone in the fight against human trafficking.
The girls, who were lured by promises of work opportunities, were instead forced into exploitative labor conditions. Thanks to coordinated efforts between Nigerian authorities and international partners, the victims were freed and brought back home.
