President Donald Trump has issued a sharp warning about the state of the U.S. economy, declaring that losing the value of the U.S. dollar would be like losing a world war.
“Losing our dollar value in the world is like losing World War,” Trump said in a recent interview. “I will keep fighting, and no money value will be higher than our dollar.”
Trump made the statement during a White House interview focused on America’s economic position and its weakening grip on global financial dominance.
The warning comes as more countries are moving away from using the U.S. dollar in trade, turning instead to alternatives like the Chinese yuan or BRICS-backed currencies. Trump blamed the Biden administration’s “weak leadership” and “reckless spending” for what he sees as a growing threat.
“Under my leadership, the dollar was strong, respected, and powerful,” Trump added. “Now, other nations are testing us. But we won’t let them win.”
He also referred to the battle to preserve the U.S. dollar as “financial warfare,” saying the outcome will determine whether America keeps its global influence or fades into the background.
“If we lose the dollar, we lose our power,” he said. “We lose our voice on the world stage. And I won’t let that happen.”
Trump says protecting the U.S. dollar is a fight for America’s future and one he’s ready to lead again.
