The U.S. Embassy in Riyadh has issued a strong security alert urging American citizens in Saudi Arabia to consider leaving the country “if you can do so safely,” citing ongoing regional tensions due to the expanding conflict involving the United States, Israel, and Iran.
According to the embassy, missile and drone threats continue to pose risks across the region, although airports in Riyadh, Jeddah, and Dammam remain open. The embassy warned U.S. citizens to check their flight status and urged those who can depart via commercial flights to do so.
This travel advisory follows broader guidance from the U.S. State Department encouraging Americans to leave multiple Middle Eastern countries as the security situation deteriorates.
The latest warning adds to a series of alerts for U.S. citizens living in or visiting the region, bringing to light concerns over diplomatic facilities being targeted and the unpredictable nature of current hostilities.
