U.S. President Donald Trump stated on Truth Social that the United States “knew nothing about this particular attack” and that Qatar was in “no way, shape or form” aware of it beforehand.
However, according to comments from U.S. and Israeli officials, Trump’s remarks were not fully accurate. U.S. intelligence had reportedly detected signs of possible hostilities, and the idea that Qatar had “no idea” of an attack doesn’t align with how regional monitoring and shared intelligence systems operate.
This discrepancy highlights how political statements can differ sharply from official assessments, especially in fast-moving international security situations.
More updates are expected as the situation in the Middle East continues to evolve.
