A former staffer has reportedly gone into hiding after leaking a secret audio recording allegedly featuring a senior advisor to President Donald Trump. The leaked audio, which surfaced briefly online before being removed, includes what experts say may be the voice of longtime Trump associate Jason Maddox discussing efforts to delay legal action and influence political outcomes.
The woman, identified by her legal team only as “K.W.,” was a junior aide at a political consulting firm with connections to Trump’s post-presidency operations. Her lawyer says the recording was made “for personal safety,” but after it went public, the whistleblower began receiving threats and suspicious activity was reported near her residence.
“She’s afraid for her life,” her attorney told reporters. “This wasn’t about politics she uncovered something she didn’t expect.”
Trump’s team has called the recording a hoax, denying all allegations and calling the leak a “desperate leftist stunt.”
The FBI has declined to comment, but cybersecurity analysts confirm that the clip appears to be authentic and has been the subject of ongoing federal interest.
Her current whereabouts remain unknown.
