Chaos at California Clinic: ICE Agents Drag Undocumented Man from Surgery Center as Staff Plead for His Release

It was a quiet Tuesday afternoon in Ontario, California until it wasn’t. Inside the Ontario Advanced Surgery Center, a man burst through the doors, terrified and sobbing. Moments later, federal ICE agents followed, and what happened next left staff and patients shaken.

Denis Guillen-Solis, a 30-year-old undocumented migrant, had been doing landscaping work outside the medical facility when immigration agents pulled up to serve an arrest warrant. Guillen-Solis panicked and ran not to escape, but to seek refuge. He fled into the surgery center, hoping for protection. Instead, what unfolded was a tense standoff between ICE agents and medical professionals trying to defend him.

In a now-viral video, Guillen-Solis is seen clinging to a doorframe inside the clinic, sobbing as two ICE agents faces covered forcefully try to pull him away. Staff, some still in scrubs, can be heard yelling at the agents, accusing them of trespassing and demanding to see a warrant. Witnesses say the agents refused to show identification or a badge. Still, they proceeded with the arrest.

“They came in like they had no respect for anyone inside,” said a nurse who witnessed the scene. “No warrant, no ID, just force.”

Javier Hernandez of the Inland Coalition for Immigrant Justice told reporters that the agents never properly identified themselves and had no legal right to enter private property without a warrant. “This was a clear violation of constitutional rights and a traumatizing show of power,” he said.

The confrontation has sparked outrage among immigrant rights advocates, many of whom say the incident reflects a growing disregard for due process and human dignity. The medical facility is now reviewing the incident and considering legal options.

As of now, Guillen-Solis remains in ICE custody. But the question left hanging in the air is one that many Americans are now asking: If even a medical clinic isn’t safe from immigration enforcement, then where can undocumented people turn for help?
