The World Health Organization (WHO) and the TY Danjuma Foundation have signed a $2.26 million health intervention agreement aimed at transforming medical access for underserved communities across Nigeria.
The agreement, signed at a joint press conference in Abuja, will target three major health challenges: maternal and child health, prevention of infectious diseases, and emergency health response.

WHO’s Country Representative, Dr. Walter Kazadi Mulombo, said the intervention will focus primarily on North-East and North-Central Nigeria regions that have suffered most from conflict and poor access to healthcare.
General TY Danjuma (Rtd), chairman of the foundation, emphasized that the goal is to leave no Nigerian behind in the country’s healthcare journey.
