In a huge win for Donald Trump and future presidents, the U.S. Supreme Court ruled that federal judges can no longer issue nationwide injunctions.
The decision, which came in a 5-4 vote, changes the legal balance of power and could allow Trump to finally push through one of his most controversial ideas: ending birthright citizenship.
“This is a monumental victory,” Trump declared. With courts now limited in reach, Trump’s executive orders especially on immigration may face fewer roadblocks. Civil rights groups are outraged, warning this ruling could lead to unchecked presidential authority. The 2024 election just got even more high stakes.
