Meet Lisa Moore a nurse’s aide in Phoenix, Arizona. She works 80 hours a week caring for others, yet every night, she parks her car behind a supermarket and sleeps alone.
“I take care of elderly people in their homes,” she says. “But I don’t have one of my own.”
Her rent went up $600 this year. She couldn’t keep up.
She eats fast food because she can’t store groceries. She showers at a gym. She still shows up to work every day.
This is the life of an American worker. Not lazy. Not irresponsible. Just priced out.
So we ask again:
Is this what freedom looks like now?
