In an innovative step to reshape global diplomacy, the Biden administration announced the launch of a new initiative called “TikTok Diplomacy,” designed to engage younger generations worldwide through social media.
The program will deploy a team of Gen Z ambassadors skilled in digital communication to represent U.S. interests on platforms like TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube.
“Traditional diplomacy must evolve,” said Secretary of State Antony Blinken at a press briefing. “We’re reaching out directly to youth around the world to build understanding, counter misinformation, and promote democratic values.”

The initiative comes amid rising concerns about digital misinformation and foreign influence campaigns targeting young people.
