India is in mourning. A major tragedy has struck after an Air India plane carrying 242 people crashed into a residential neighborhood just minutes after takeoff killing nearly everyone on board.
The plane, a Boeing 787 Dreamliner, had just taken off from Ahmedabad Airport, heading to London. Less than five minutes into the flight, the aircraft suddenly lost control and crashed into a student hostel building in a crowded part of the city.
The explosion shook the entire neighborhood. Buildings caught fire. People were screaming. The sky turned black from smoke. Rescue teams rushed to the scene, but it was already too late for most.

Out of 242 passengers and crew, only one person survived a British man named Vishwash Kumar Ramesh. He was pulled from the burning wreckage alive, badly injured but conscious.
Doctors say it’s a miracle he lived. “His seat was in pieces. No one understands how he made it out,” said one of the emergency workers.
🇮🇳 Former Gujarat Chief Minister Onboard
Among those killed was former Gujarat CM Vijay Rupani, who was traveling quietly on the flight to London. His death has shocked India’s political community.
What Caused the Crash?
Right now, no one knows exactly what went wrong. But leaked audio from the pilot’s final moments reveals he said:
“We can’t see the sky.”
Experts believe the plane might have lost power or navigation systems just after takeoff. Others fear there may have been a technical failure or blackout in the cockpit.
Investigators from India and the UK are now looking into the crash. The plane’s black box has been recovered and will help reveal what happened.

Families are demanding the truth. Some say Air India was warned about technical issues with this plane but kept flying it anyway. If that’s true, it could become the biggest airline scandal India has seen in years.
Right now, the focus is on finding all the bodies, supporting the injured, and giving answers to the people who lost their loved ones in the most painful way possible.
A plane full of people parents, children, students, leaders fell from the sky in broad daylight. One moment they were flying. The next, they were gone.
May their souls rest in peace.
