For years, Nigerians have been told that tribalism is the root of the country’s problems. But the real issue might be far simpler the division is being manufactured from the top, not from the ground up.
The elites in Nigeria have mastered the art of creating and deepening divisions between the people. While they pretend to fight each other publicly, behind closed doors they are united, sharing power and profits.

This unity among the powerful is something the average Nigerian has never seen, and it’s the core reason why real change is so hard to achieve.

Politicians and leaders often push the narrative that Nigeria’s problems are rooted in ethnic and religious differences. However, in truth, these divisions are often used as tools to distract the public and shift blame.

The powerful don’t want Nigerians to focus on the real issues, such as widespread poverty, corruption, and unemployment. Instead, they encourage conflict between regions and tribes, knowing it will keep the people divided.

It’s time for Nigerians to wake up and realize that tribalism is not the real enemy the enemy is the manipulation of the masses for political gain.
