Clout No Be Career – Why Portable Is Still Stuck as an Upcoming Artist

Nigerian street-pop star Portable, also known as Zazu, is known by almost everyone but many in the music industry still call him an “upcoming artist.” This has raised questions, especially since he’s famous and has millions of fans.

So why do people still see him that way?

According to some people in the industry, Portable became famous very quickly, but his career has not grown the way it should. He hasn’t released a well-planned album, doesn’t have any big endorsements, and hasn’t gone on major music tours.

“Just trending on social media isn’t enough,” a music insider told Dobblog. “You need structure, good management, and consistent music to be seen as a top artist.”

Another reason people still use the word “upcoming” is because of Portable’s frequent drama online. From fights, police cases, and controversial videos, many feel he focuses too much on attention instead of building his career properly.

But some people believe he still has time to grow if he stays focused.

“Portable has talent and energy. If he stays serious with his music, he can go very far,” one fan said.

For now, the title of “upcoming” is not about his popularity it’s about what he’s still missing in the bigger picture of music success.
