FBI Chief Kash Patel Tells Senate: No Evidence Epstein Trafficked Victims to Others

In a heated Senate Judiciary Committee hearing on Tuesday, FBI Director Kash Patel made a claim that has already set off a firestorm. Patel told lawmakers there is “no credible information” that Jeffrey Epstein trafficked women or underage girls to anyone besides himself.

The testimony came as the Trump administration faced criticism for shutting down its review of the Epstein files a move opponents argue shields powerful figures from scrutiny.

Patel, who was appointed earlier this year, explained that investigators reviewed the available records but were bound by earlier legal decisions, including Epstein’s 2008 non-prosecution agreement and limited search warrants from the mid-2000s.

“If credible information existed implicating others, we would have acted on it,” Patel insisted. He added that the FBI has already released all information it is legally allowed to make public.

Still, Patel’s assurances failed to convince many. Survivors, advocacy groups, and senators on both sides of the aisle said the Bureau’s stance doesn’t match years of allegations suggesting Epstein’s network reached far beyond his private island. Critics accuse the administration of trying to bury the truth rather than pursue it.

The debate over Epstein’s connections and whether others were ever held accountable remains as fierce as ever. For many Americans, Patel’s testimony feels less like closure and more like another chapter in a cover-up.
