The Jeffrey Epstein case continues to cast a long shadow years after his death, and once again, new documents are reigniting public outrage.
This week, a House committee released a batch of files including what’s being referred to as the “birthday book.”
While not the infamous “client list” the public has been demanding, the papers still raise troubling questions about who in Epstein’s circle may have known about his crimes, and why so much information remains hidden.

For survivors, this latest release feels like another half-measure. Many argue that justice is impossible without full transparency, and lawmakers on both sides of the aisle have echoed those concerns. Why should the public continue to accept secrecy when the case involved some of the world’s most powerful figures?
Critics point to a bigger issue: this is no longer just about Epstein. It’s about accountability at the highest levels of society. Until the files are fully unsealed, suspicion will only grow and faith in the system will continue to erode.
