Chelsea defeated Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) 3–0 in the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup Final, with Cole Palmer scoring twice and assisting another. Meanwhile, Ousmane Dembélé had a quiet game and struggled to make an impact.
Palmer opened the scoring in the 22nd minute with a left-footed finish. He added a second goal in the 30th minute after beating PSG defenders with a solo run. Just before halftime, he assisted João Pedro, who made it 3–0 for Chelsea.
Dembélé, who had been promoted heavily before the final, failed to trouble Chelsea’s defense. Despite PSG controlling possession, they created very few chances and were frustrated throughout the match.
In the 87th minute, PSG’s João Neves was sent off after an on-field clash with Chelsea defender Marc Cucurella, ending the night on a worse note for the French side.
Palmer was named Man of the Match, becoming the first English player to score two goals in a Club World Cup final. Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca praised his team’s focus and teamwork.
This is Chelsea’s second trophy of the season after winning the UEFA Conference League.
