A mid-level White House staffer is under federal investigation after being caught allegedly selling classified documents on the dark web, according to senior intelligence officials familiar with the matter.
The unnamed staffer, who worked in the Office of Cyber Strategy, reportedly leaked sensitive materials related to diplomatic surveillance programs and cybersecurity vulnerabilities in exchange for crypto payments.

A joint sting operation between the FBI and NSA led to the arrest late Thursday night in Virginia.
“This breach is serious and ongoing,” said one federal official. “We’re looking at who accessed what, when, and why.”
The documents are believed to have been downloaded over several months using a hidden USB device during after-hours office access.
So far, there’s been no official White House comment. The story is developing rapidly across intelligence and political circles.
