Thousands took to the streets in major U.S. cities after reports of mass federal immigration raids sparked outrage and fear across immigrant communities.
In Los Angeles, demonstrators clashed with National Guard troops, prompting the mayor to enforce an emergency curfew. Over 70 people were arrested as video footage of aggressive arrests went viral.
“This is a human rights crisis,” said activist Carlos Jiménez. “Children are being taken from their homes at dawn.”
In New York, Chicago, and Dallas, similar protests erupted outside ICE offices. The Trump administration has yet to issue a detailed statement, but insiders say the raids are part of an “expanded security protocol.”
The public, however, is demanding answers and accountability.
