In a Texas Walmart, a young mother stood at the checkout line, holding diapers and formula. When she swiped her card, it was declined. She tried again. Still declined.
She looked at her baby. Then she started to cry.
A man standing two spots behind her stepped forward without a word and paid the $47 bill.
“No child should suffer because of a system that fails mothers,” he said.
A bystander captured it all on video. The clip has now reached over 15 million views.
Some people called the man a hero. Others asked why this even happens in a country as rich as America.
One comment summed it up:
