Republican lawmakers in the U.S. Congress have introduced a new budget framework aimed at slashing federal spending and addressing the country’s ballooning deficit.
The proposal, revealed in “The World and Everything in It” podcast, includes cuts to entitlement programs, defense realignment, and tax incentives to encourage domestic investment.
House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy stressed the need for fiscal discipline, stating that “America cannot continue on a path of unchecked spending.”
Democrats have criticized the plan, calling it “reckless” and “harmful to working families.” Negotiations between both parties are expected to intensify in the coming weeks.
