Former Representative Matt Gaetz announced his intention to expose what he describes as widespread corruption and scandals ignored by mainstream media. Gaetz, who was chosen by President-elect Donald Trump to be Attorney General, said that he would share information about alleged corruption, treason, insider stock trading, Jeffrey Epstein connections, Sean "Diddy" Combs-hosted parties, and election fraud.
The nomination of Gaetz comes amid ongoing debates. In November 2024, he resigned from Congress, effectively concluding an investigation into allegations of sexual misconduct and drug use by the House Ethics Committee. Although a Justice Department investigation into sex trafficking allegations concluded without charges, the Ethics Committee had resumed its probe in 2023, citing concerns over Gaetz’s conduct.
Critics question Gaetz’s suitability for the Attorney General role, given his history of investigations and controversial statements, including calls to dismantle federal agencies like the FBI and ATF. The Senate is uncertain about his appointment because some lawmakers are skeptical of his qualifications. His promise to reveal alleged hidden scandals adds complexity to his already contentious nomination as Gaetz gets ready to lead the Justice Department.
